Dear Friends of the Meeting House:
As the year draws to a close, we invite you to help us care for one of New Marlborough’s treasures, the 1839 Meeting House, our historic gathering place for music, art, and community life.
The 2025 season was truly extraordinary, with three sold-out performances and audiences filling the hall with energy and joy. We are deeply grateful for your part in making it one of our most successful years yet. Plans are already underway for another spectacular 2026 season, bringing world-class artistry to our intimate Berkshire setting.
Downstairs, our art gallery continued to thrive as a welcoming space for regional artists, visitors, and residents to gather, celebrate creativity, and connect with one another.
The Meeting House remains in fine shape thanks to your generosity, but as every steward of an old building knows, preservation is an ongoing effort. This year alone, we’ve completed several major improvements: waterproofing the rear gallery wall, repainting the back gallery room, installing solar shades and an overhead fan for summer comfort, and upgrading the front steps to welcome guests more safely.
These projects have made a visible difference. Yet the work of maintaining a nearly two-century-old building never ends. To ensure we can respond quickly to future needs, we are creating a Meeting House Maintenance Fund, dedicated solely to preserving the structure and its systems for generations to come.
We hope you will consider a year-end contribution to this fund. Your gift, in any amount, helps keep the Meeting House sound, welcoming, and ready to host the music, art, and conversations that define our community. Please mail your contribution to the New Marlborough Meeting House at 154 Hartsville-New Marlborough Road, New Marlborough, MA 01230, or contribute online at www.nmmeetinghouse.org.
Thank you for your continued support and for being part of the life of the Meeting House.
With warm regards and best wishes for the holidays and New Year.
